A manicure at Kitoko Nails & Beauty is not a case of getting you in and out of the door as quickly as possible. From the very first appointment, the focus is on truly understanding your nails, taking the time to care for them properly and delivering results that are both beautiful and long-lasting.

 

For most clients, your appointment will take somewhere between one and a half to two hours, and for new clients it may take a little longer whilst a thorough assessment of your nails is carried out. It is this unhurried, attentive approach that keeps nails beautifully healthy and ensures your gel polish looks pristine and lasts as long as possible.

The secret to a truly long-lasting, flawless manicure lies almost entirely in the preparation, and this is where a significant amount of time and care is invested at every single appointment.

The natural nail is meticulously prepared before any product is applied, with precise cuticle work to ensure the nail bed is clean, healthy and beautifully cared for. Working close to the cuticle with care and precision means the colour can be applied closer to the cuticle, creating a look immaculate from the very first day and ensures far less visible regrowth as the nail grows. This attention to detail is one of the most significant factors in why results last so much longer than a standard gel manicure.

No two clients have identical nails, and the preparation at each appointment is always adapted to suit the individual, whether that means extra care for fine or damaged nails, a strengthening base for those prone to breakage, or a more considered approach for nails that need a little extra attention. Your nails are always assessed freshly at every visit, ensuring they receive exactly what they need on the day.

Bio Sculpture Gel Polish

All standard and luxury manicures at Kitoko are carried out using Bio Sculpture, a premium gel system that places natural nail health at the very heart of every treatment. Unlike traditional gel polishes that simply coat the nail, Bio Sculpture actively works to strengthen and protect it, using a prescriptive approach to base and builder gels that is tailored to each individual nail.

Standard and Luxury Manicure

The standard manicure includes meticulous nail preparation, a prescriptive Bio Sculpture base, your chosen gel colour and a glossy top coat, finished with a short relaxing hand massage. It is a thorough, beautifully considered treatment that delivers results you will notice immediately and continue to enjoy for weeks to come.

For those who would like to make their appointment feel even more indulgent, the luxury manicure upgrade adds a nourishing hand soak, exfoliation, a conditioning hand mask and an extended hand and forearm massage, leaving the hands as beautifully soft and nourished as the nails themselves.

 

It is the perfect treat for anyone who wants to emerge from their appointment feeling completely pampered from fingertip to forearm.

 

Nail Repairs and Reconstruction

 

Accidents happen, and a chipped or broken nail does not have to mean waiting until your next appointment.

 

Nail repair appointments are always available to keep your manicure looking its very best until your next visit.

For a nail that has split or broken off completely, full nail reconstruction is also possible, rebuilding the nail using silk or builder gel where appropriate, so that it looks and behaves as naturally as possible. Pricing for both repairs and reconstruction is available on the price list page.

If your gel polish chips or lifts within 48 hours of your appointment, this will always be rectified complimentarily. After this time, any chips or lifting can be repaired at a small fee, details of which can be found on the price list page.

Hard Gel | For Nails That Need Extra Support

For clients who struggle to maintain gel polish due to their natural nail type, lifestyle or occupation, a hard gel service is also available.

 

Hard gel provides a more durable coating for those who find that standard gel simply will not stay on, and will always be discussed during your consultation to establish whether it is the right option for you.

​

Please note that unlike Bio Sculpture, hard gel requires filing to remove rather than soaking off.

Removal

Removal of Bio Sculpture applied at Kitoko is always included complimentarily when returning for a re-application, ensuring the natural nail can be freshly assessed and treated at every visit.

 

Removal of gel or product applied at another salon is possible and will always incur a removal fee, regardless of whether a new application is being booked. Full pricing details are available on the price list page.

Aftercare Advice

The care you give your nails at home between appointments makes an enormous difference to how long and how beautifully your manicure lasts. In the meantime, the most important things to remember are to use cuticle oil regularly, wear gloves when using cleaning products, washing up or gardening, and to treat your nails with care.
